Best first time in Sacramento! Thank you to the wonderful Concierge Team… I arrived at the Sawyer on a 24-hour layover around 6am Monday morning, shoutout to the night-shift “vampire” who checked me in. He looked rested, charming, and gracious at an hour when most people should not be expected to function. Being at the doorstep of the Sacramento Kings’ home, Golden 1 Center, I had fun noticing little things about the architecture — like the height of the grand lobby, which somehow made the unusually tall people walking around seem perfectly comfortable. The complimentary coffee was excellent and hit the spot after a night of travel. Kiana and the entire concierge team were helpful and extraordinary. They made the stay feel personal, welcoming, and genuinely connected to the city. I love art and urban history (and the Crocker Art Museum, like many cultural venues, is closed Mondays), so I checked out Sacramento’s mural program and walked around the K Street area, with a detour to the Stanford Mansion, a beautiful Victorian-era gem with a surprisingly rich history. I’m giving the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Sacramento a well-deserved 5-star review! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve had the opportunity to stay and dine here, and everything from the beautiful rooms to the food, drinks, bar, cleanliness, and customer service was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and conveniently located in downtown Sacramento with easy access to the surrounding freeways and everything the city has to offer. But what really made this hotel stand out to me was the way the staff treated my family during both of my granddaughters’ prom. 💕 They wanted to capture beautiful prom pictures at the hotel, and although it was around 6 p.m., the hotel was busy and there was a lot going on, the evening manager still took the time to accommodate us. He allowed us the opportunity to use the beautiful staircase for their prom photos and made sure we had the space and time we needed to capture those special memories. He didn’t have to do that, especially with everything happening at the hotel that evening, but his kindness and professionalism helped make an already special day even more memorable.
